Yes it’s shutdown time at work.  That means extra hours, weekends and lots of stress.  And pretty much no exercise.  And very little BJJ.  The time I do have off is spent helping the boys with homework, cooking and housework.  I guess I don’t get on here that often either.

Bummer.

A couple of my M.A.P. buddies are away at foreign Gyms.  Sheldon in NYC with Marcelo Garcia and Chris in Rio de Janiero.  I’d like to get away too.  Maybe next month or May.  I’d like to get back to Salt Lake City at some point.  Cool place.  It would also be cool to go to Poland with Annette.  AND Tom wants me to go to Scotland in June.  What are the chances that any one of those will happen.  Hmm.

There’s an opening with the City of Kingston managing projects.  Big cut in pay but get this…35 hours a week and it’s 5 minutes from home.  Yes I said 5 minutes.  I did the math; that’s equivalent to 34 days fewer a year saved.  WTF?  I can’t imagine what it would be like to have time to get the laundry done, dishes out of the way and THEN make all my BJJ classes AND get 8 hours of sleep every night.  Tempting, very tempting.

Boys are on March break starting Friday.  To say they’re looking forward to it would be an understatement.

Pub night with work on Friday.  After the last couple of weeks I may skip it in favour of spending some time with the guys.

You know what happened when Jack Nicholson worked too hard in “The Shining”.
