Escaping when someone has your back
Sheldon showed me a great move to expose your opponents throat. A bit of a crank. Maybe dangerous. I asked him for the counter just in case. “Don’t let them take your back”. Duh.
Chris taught a great class tonight. We worked on escaping when someone has our back. Not easy but we had lots of rolling with different people tonight.
We had fun. Got the “whip up” to work for the first time. Cool. I practiced it with Aidan on the mats in our basement first but it’s hard to tell with him because his calf is injured so I have to go easy on the lockdown. Rolling tonight it netted me an old school sweep which ended up somehow leading to an armbar.
I have been watching some Cane Prevost video and have been trying to study proper posture while I am injured. It takes a lot of visualization and I am hoping some of it will help when I start firing on all cylinders again. The Eddie Bravo stuff is an interesting sideline but the meat and potatoes for me is good posture SBGi style. I need to roll more.
