life, kids, and brazilian jiu jitsu

So I am done at work until next year.  Home, car in the garage, and I’m not leaving the house again ’til January 4th.  Fridge is stocked. Take that Christmas lovers.  I’m catching up on sleep starting now and you’d better have an appointment or the dogs will answer the door.

Missed BJJ because I was held up at work.  Darn.

Seriously the dogs are hyper-vigilant.  Border Collies are not barkers.  We had someone hang out at the end of the driveway before coming to pop something in the mailbox.  Max and Chase watched from behind the curtains in the living room without moving a muscle.  But ears were up and when the guy was walking up the driveway their hackles went up and they started a deep low growl.  When he was at the door Max’s lips peeled back off the fangs.  He looks like the monster in Alien when he does that.  Not normal for them, and strangely, when I checked the mailbox it was empty.  Good luck breaking into this place with all the live cameras and the dogs waiting patiently in the shadows.

So, a bit off wrapping to do, and I have to find some way to stop drinking coffee without my head falling off from the extreme caffeine withdrawal.

Tonight we’ll watch District 9 and go to bed early……and I’ll sleep ’til noon.
