Running
I like to run. When I am lean and fit, it is almost effortless. Running is like comfort food for me. It has a rhythm and cadence that, after all these years, has become part of who I am.
It can be a punishing form of exercise. Knees, ankles, hips all suffer from the pounding. That is why being lean makes it easier on the body.
In any case, I’ve been running more of late. I used running to cut weight for the tournament in April and now I’m using it to stay fit while my shoulder heals.
I ran with Annette today at Lemoine Point. She has been doing yoga which is quite different from running but it seems to translate well because she ran well (and looks good doing it).
